  I have no science or research to back up my opinion.  But we don't really worry about it.  Our plan is to stop when it feels weird for any one of us, be it me, or DH or Miles.  Right now it's no big deal.  I don't bathe with him anymore...not because I find it weird, but the opportunity hasn't presented itself.  So we haven't. 

  I don't find it odd that people don't feel comfortable being naked in front of their same sex or opposite sex kids...but it just doesn't matter to me.

  DD is three and still showers every morning with Dad. Beyond noticing that he has a penis and them moving on, she doesn't care, and so we haven't moved to make a change.

  I'm not worried until it becomes an issue for her, and then we will make a change. It is just no big deal in our house.

  I don't worry too much about it or feel weird about it.  BUT, in recent weeks, Dylan will run around the house yelling "mommy has boobies!", so I may begin the transition of stopping showering with him, etc.!

  This is pretty much my take on it. We aren't 'naked' kind of people (walk around naked all the time or anything), but we don't shy away from changing in front of the kids or using the bathroom.

  A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

  Lucas is 2 years and 3 months and showers with me probably twice a week because it's convenient for us. He much prefers to shower with me than DH. DH is rinse-obsessed and Lucas doesn't really care to be rinsed as much as DH would like.

  The only time Lucas has mentioned the fact that I'm naked is when I once came downstairs wearing my top, socks and undies to retrieve my pants from the dryer.  He knew that it was weird not to have pants on downstairs.  Other than that, we don't talk about being naked.

  We've never bathed with Jacob (not judging...we've just never done it).  But we change in front of him all the time.  Right now, its no big deal.  He likes to be near us and we need to get moving with our day, which includes changing.  I figure eventually, he'll be doing his own thing in the morning and we'll be doing ours and then it will probably eventually stop.  I'm not too worried about it!

  My girls shower with me almost every night just because its easy.  We stopped the daddy showers about 6 months ago.  We just don't think its a big deal yet...not sure when we will stop?  The girls never ask questions....maybe we will stop when they do haha!

  Thanks for your input!  I hear sometimes people say they hate the image of their parent naked (usually women talking about their Dad) so I was conscious to that, but wasn't sure if seeing grown up parts affected them (same sex).  I appreciate all of your thoughts/experiences!

  Substitute girls' names and this is exactly true for us.  We've discussed that our dog has a penis (she asked), but not that DH does, LOL.

  This - although I've showered with Toodle once when on maternity leave but he wasn't a fan (he didn't like the shower), but I shower with him around still. I'm not at ALL a naked person, I'm pretty self conscious, so I'm guessing I'll grow uncomfortable with it before Toodle has any issues with it.

  i don't care, I walk around naked, you know I never thought about showering with the girls that might make life so easy...

  Daddy doesn't feel comfortable being naked in front of them anymore, that's him though. However, I would walk in front of anyone naked, I am in no way modest.

  The girls comment on mommy's boobies all the time and even say they have boobies, but that's just human nature.

  This and this.  Conor knows he has a "pe-niths" and the dog does too but we don't talk about DH's.  He also knows I have different parts, we've talked about them...and then moved on.

  Funny story: Conor noticed the string between my legs the other day and wanted to pull on it.  I about died.  I now wear undies when I have a string in.

  As a step-mom of an older child I can assure you that they will tell you when it becomes an issue.

  (no - he never saw me nude but he saw his dad nude and got to a point where his response was "Yeesh, Dad.  Cover up!" or "Can't you close the door?")

  For me with my little guys we (and they) stopped bathing together when it went from questions and comments to actual attempts to touch.   

   

  Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
  Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

  some people are naked their whole lives... if it's normal to them it's no big deal.

  We're probably going to start covering up in front of Griffin soon... he's starting to notice stuff more... the other day he said to DH before he got into the shower "Nice big penis" LOL.  He was comparing it to his own we guessed, lol.    He'll be 5 in march.

  I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

  This. I was actually reflecting with DH the other day that I can't remember te last time I took a shower on my own. We'll stop when the kids ask us to. We've already had the penis, boobs, hair convos and they all went without muh fanfare, so it's really no biggie.

  Same here - changing and bathroom related.  And, I'd like to know how you get your kids to shower!  Alana likes to play in the shower when it's off, but, is petrified of the noise when it's on.

  Definitely not a big deal in our house... DD is 4 -- DH gets dressed infront of her -- she jokes she sees his buns but she does the same to me....we arent uncomfortable and neither is she.
