Poncho-style nursing cover?

I saw this poncho-style nursing cover on Etsy...I like the style of it because as the description says,"For moms who want a nursing cover that doesn't scream circus tent!"

But, I'm wondering about functionality? Anyone used something similar? Is this a reasonable choice for a nursing cover? Thanks!

    I had one like that and it was tough to use. Aubrey when older, would pull on the sides and actually pull it off her as she hated to be covered up. For me, it was hard to see what was going on down there, especially with a newborn where you have to watch what the baby is doing and adjust/fix the latch at times. I would suggest a cover up that has a metal bar that sticks out (https://www.allmodern.com/Balboa-Baby-Nursing-Cover-in-Black-with-Geo-Trim-10101-BLB1026.html)  so you can easily look down and see the baby- I never got one but I can totally see how this would be so much easier. We just made what we had work and to be honest, 1/2 the time a blanket was just as easy/easier to throw over my shoulders than putting on a cover.

    I have the Balboa Baby and I love it. Not only can you see your LO, but it also allows for some airflow so they don't get too hot.

    you can get a similar one at target for around $10.  Smaller but has the boning in it.  I like it.

    I'll second the Balboa cover.  It's the best one out there.  I nurse on the go all the time and the other covers are just nearly not as good.  The Balboa is very large and fits around your elbows so you don't expose yourself.
