I am making an appointment to see a doctor today, but I would love some insight if anyone has any as to what might be going on.
Normally, AF is really painful and rather heavy the first day. I might have to change a super tampon every two hours for four hours or so. After that, it is really light, no cramping, etc.
Yesterday, I went through 4 in about an hour. 20-30 minutes after putting one in, it would go right through it. This was also accompanied with monster sized clots. DH got all panicky and demanded we go to the ER, so we did.
I'm not sure if they understood how bad it was, but they made sure I wasn't anemic and wasn't pregnant, and sent us home.
This is no where near normal for me, and it is still pretty heavy this morning, and there are still giant clots. Any ideas as to what would cause this? Should I worry if it keeps up?

Re: Insane AF
I would only because I usually only get one or 2 days of heavy flow. If I had what you are describing I'd prob go to my gyno to get checked. Good Luck.

Thanks guys.. Good to know I'm not just over reacting, which is the vibe I got at the ER. They really bothered me... The RN told me, very nonchalant, "You might be miscarrying" and then went on to tell us about how he enjoys ignoring his kids when they come over. Really? That is the story you feel is appropriate to pass the time? Geesh.
The sheet they gave me for "When to come back" said to come back if I go through 3 pads in an hour... It was all I could do not to make a snarky remark back to the doctor, since that is what had been going on the entire time I was there.
