Weight loss/Get healthy check in

How's everyone doing? I see on MFP a lot of you have been exercising. That's great. I told myself I was going to start last week and I didn't. I REALLY need to start this week. According to my scale this morning I lost 2lbs this week. I'm sure by this afternoon's weigh in at the doctors it'll be 4-5lbs heavier but I'm tracking based on my weight on Monday mornings.

  • I'm doing well. I went a little crazy on the snacking over the weekend, but not nearly as bad as before when I would get off track.

    I've been walking every day of the week except Fridays and I feel great.

    I'm down 6 pounds from when I started (a week and a half ago) the 12 week weight loss challenge that I'm doing.

  • On Saturday I went to a baby shower and ignored the cupcakes and cookies in favor of the veggie tray.  Now I did have a mimosa (or 2) but I've giving myself credit for not pigging out on the awesome looking desserts.  Then we went out to dinner at our favorite Cajan place and I had grilled fish instead of etouffee.  I did cave and eat some chocolate that evening, but overall I'm pretty pleased with myself.  

    20 down, 20 more to go for my first goal.  For the first time, I'm actually thinking it might be attainable.  :)  Have to get better about the exercise though.

    I think my baby-weightloss is slowing down, and actually saw a slight gain on the scale this morning, but I don't know if it's because I weighed after I ate breakfast instead of before.  The swelling in my feet and hands is pretty much gone so I know that was what most of my rapid weightloss was.  

    I walked one day last week, and plan to do it every day this week.  I have my PP appt next Tuesday and fully expect my dr to clear me for more intense exercise.  When he does, I'm going to hit the gym every day, because DS2 will be old enough to go to their nursery.  Well, I'm going to go every day until he catches a cold from the nursery, I should say...  :-(

     I'm having a hard time with food.  I am exclusively BFing and I am freaking STARVING, all the time!  I always clear my plate, and then some, and just seem like I can never get enough to eat.  It makes it really hard to resist things like Girl Scout Cookies and other bad things!  Plus, I need some inspiration for healthy meals - I have a ton of recipes pinned on Pinterest, but not many of them are healthy!  What kinds of things are y'all cooking for dinner?

    Also, can we do another MFP screen name post, or just post them here?  I'm friends with a couple of you but not many.  My sn is Amyliisa.

    I have a lot of healthy recipes pinned..you should check them out. I've tried a lot of them and they're all pretty good!
  • I stalled out the last two weeks.  I've kept the 3.6 loss off... but nothing additional... for two whole weeks.

    I'm going to have to up my game this week.   

  • Since I've started using my fitbit on Dec 28 I've lost 8 lbs. To me, that's amazing. I'm not really tracking my food because I did it for so long I really know what I"m eating. I'm being less sedentary, though, and that rocks. Once I lose 10 more I'll attempt to run again.

     

    My friends want me to join fitocracy.com with them but I haven't looked at it yet. It gives you challenging workouts and has you compete with your friends somehow. It might be worth it if I have time to keep up with yet another website.
