  when my baby had diarrhea it was REALLY bad smelling, first off. and it would soak almost completely into the diaper, like a true liquid, rather than just being a loose and runny poop that sat on top of the diaper. I hope that makes sense.

  if you're EBF and it's still yellow and smells the same, he's probably fine. If you're in doubt take the diaper into the pedi with you.

  I agree, it will be like water and most likely leak out of the diaper. Loose is normal, especially if you BF. The smell will also tip you off. If you aren't sure bring the diaper to the doctor, they like to see it for themselves.

  Also with diarrhea it will be more frequent. In daycares we wait until there has been 3 bad diapers, or if the baby has a fever.

  I was wondering the same thing.
