Freaking out a little- TMI warning

I'm sure this has been posted before, but I didn't pay close enough attention. So now I'm freaking my freak a little.

While cleaning up from dinner, I felt a little wetness and thought it seemed excessive. When I went to the bathroom, I turned out to have a little bit of watery light pink brown discharge. I haven't had anymore and it was only on the tp (other than the original on my panties.)

We did tour Singapore last night, so I'm hoping that's it. Can any of y'all tell me stories about discharge y'all had that turned out to be nothing? I'm going to try to get some sleep, but I don't know how successful I will be. So many tears...

  • I know how scary that is, I'm sure your fine! I had light pink discharge with this baby a few times too. Lots of ***its nothing dust *** coming ur way!

  • I haven't been there, but I have read the same post many-a-time. Light spotting is totally normal.

I hope you get some sleep and feel better in the morning.

  • I know that feeling - I still check to make sure there's no color on my TP these days =P.  I had this around 8 wks and called the nurse.  They told me it was normal for some people to have some brownish discharge (especially after sex), and to monitor with a pad and to note if it had turned to bright red, and how fast it was filling a pad.

If you're still seeing color tomorrow, I'd call your nurse for peace of mind.

  • I had similar scares after getting busy.  Your cervix has a lot of blood going to it right now and it's really sensitive so it's totally normal to have some bleeding. (This is what my mw told me.) I know it can be scary but I'm sure you're fine. :)

  • Thanks everyone. I never realized how scary this could be!
  • Singapore got me every time for the first Tri. After my body adjusted to the stretching and such the spotting stopped and everything was normal.

    Hugs, thoughts and prayers.

Ps - don't let this scare you away from touring Singapore. ;)

  • So totally normal after sex.  No worries, but if it would make you feel better you can call and talk to a nurse at your OBs office tomorrow.  ((hugs))

Thanks everyone. I never realized how scary this could be!

Isnt it strange how you could love someone so much already?

  • I had spotting during both of my successful pregnancies and so much CM while pregnant I had to wear pantyliners.

I miss using condoms because I loathe panty souvenirs from touring Singapore...

  • Thanks y'all. I had heard that spotting could happen after touring, but thought it would have been the next morning, not a full 24 hrs later. And we've toured multiple times since being pregnant without it happening, so I just wasn't prepared.

I also did a fairly intense yoga class yesterday afternoon then came home an cooked for a couple hours. Could I have overdone it? Should I take it easy tonight?

  • I knew this on an intellectual level, but hadn't felt it yet. Especially since I hadn't let myself get overly excited for this exact reason. I'm ready for the next 2-3 weeks to hurry on by and it to be second trimester!

Eta: oops, I meant to quote Amycathy but now my phone won't let me.

  • I hope you are feeling better this morning.  I, too, spotted after sex, just about every time.  The first time was a day or so later, like you're saying.  I spotted a lot during the first tri, it's totally normal...and totally normal to freak out, too!

  • I'm a little late, but wanted to send some more *let it be nothing dust*!!!
