Grovia AIO's and inserts

Those who have used these, have you found that they take a longer than average time to dry? I'm a FTM and am prepping my stuff and have found that alot of my stuff is taking for.ev.er to dry.  I have 3 Grovia newborn AIO's that, had i left them in, would've taken over an hour to dry...in a very small load.  Is that normal? is everyone's like that? Do they get quicker over time as the fibers break down?

Second, I also have about 10 flip stay dry inserts + 2 Grovia inserts that took awhile as well.  Same deal for them? do they get quicker the more you wash them? Or is this just something i'll have to deal with?

Re: Grovia AIO's and inserts

  • The AIOs generally take longer to dry, period. I usually toss them in the dryerwith my pockets, and then take them out and let them finish drying by hanging them overnight.  I have enough diapers where this is not a problem though.

  • Thanks for the response.  I guess I'm just worried about things drying in the basement. It's not exceptionally damp, but its not the warmest, driest basement ever either. :/ I guess I'll figure it out when baby gets here.

  • My Flip insets dry fast.

I dry everything but my covers and pocket shells (incl. my Grovia AIO and AI2 inserts) on a cycle of low (I hang my shells), then I pull my AIOs an hang to dry the rest of the way. Then I dry the AI2 inserts and the AIO snap in soakers on a hot cycle with the rest of my inserts.

  • I threw my grovia AIO's in with the wash when I did wash last week to start prepping them.  I have a HE dryer that dries EVERYTHING.  But, these were still pretty damp when I took them out.  I even tried drying them through a second cycle, and they were still damp, so I hung them to finish drying.
