First IUI 2ww

Hello, I am new to the boards. We just did our first IUI we had two rounds yesterday and today and now the 2ww. I feel like it is going to be the longest 2 weeks ever! Our story is I am 37, DH is 37 TTC 2years. I have a low AMH of .7 and DH has super sperm (lucky guy). We did Gonal F injections and Avidril trigger shot this produced 3 good eggs according to my RE 19, 17, 13, DH sperm after wash both days were 128 million the first day and 111 million today. Keeping our fingers crossed it works on our first cycle. I would love to gain an IUI buddy to wait out the 2 weeks with! Good Luck to anyone reading!

Thanks for all the posts.. I am always amazed at how many of us are going through the same thing. Good luck to all of you! Since this is my first cycle I am not sure what to expect or how to keep myself from thinking every little ache or pain does not mean something. I am going to try hard and not play head games with myself. Today was pretty crampy not horrible just noticeable how are you guys feeling? Any suggestions to get through the wait? we go for our test on ground hogs day.. Think punxsutawney phil the ground hog can predict our outcome lol....

Please his head is so inflated by it, if he could he would run around the house with a cape he would, lol... Our problem is poor egg quality and quanity so lets just pray there is one good egg in the mix this month Big Smile .. Honestly I am glad it is me and not him, if tables were turned this whole fertility process would have been prolonged because he could not cope with male inadequacy. It took me a year in a half to convince him to be checked. Than another 4 months to get him to the fertility center. All that matters is that we are here now and moving forward!!! Yeahhhhh...

This is day one after my IUI"s and I feel good cramping seemed to stop but my mind keeps wondering on babies....

How do you guys feel?

I'm laughing at your DH's "super sperm" since that's what my DH keeps bragging about, too!

Try to keep yourself busy during the 2ww. I hope it goes quickly for you!

We're on our fourth try (first time with an RE), and from my experience? Nothing can keep you from trying to interpret every single symptom as pregnancy. For the first three tries, I would see pregnancy in everything. I joke that I could sneeze and wonder if that meant I was pregnant. :P

Personally, I find it hard to keep from thinking about it constantly. The only thing that works for me is keeping busy. Work, fun, whatever. But preferably something that keeps my mind occupied.

And even then, my wife and I spend our evenings wondering if we're pregnant or not. In fact, DW (if DH is dear husband, one assumes DW is dear wife?) asks me if I feel any different...and I was only inseminated 3 days ago!

Good luck! You'll survive the 2ww, even if it doesn't always feel like it! And if you need distraction, I'm always up for conversation. It distracts me too!

congratulations, I will keep my fingers crossed for the two of you! Funny about the sneezing symptom, I haven't thought of that one myself yet I may have in a few more days lol....You will have to keep me posted on your end result and everything in between. I am looking forward to attending a meditation class tomorrow for pregnancy, my acupuncturist wanted me to try it since it is included in my treatment costs i figured why not. She states it will create a welcoming environment??? At this point I have an open mind to anything anyone is willing to throw at me. Looking forward to chatting with you more.

Hi - I just started a 2ww from my first ET yesterday. I think I have minor OHSS which is making the wait all the more "interesting". Good luck to you (and to all of us).

Hello welcome... Good luck to you.. One of my girlfriends who did IVF with a donor egg felt symptoms 3 days after transfer she states her girls (Breasts) started to get big and sore, she knew right away... Hopefully you will be in the same boat as her.. she now has 2 beautiful little boys 18 months old Big Smile .

Today is my 2nd day after IUI felt nausea mid afternoon - but I am associating it with the injectable ovidrel and a tad bit of cramping nothing to bad just noticeable.

How is everyone else feeling?

So today, it wasn't sneezing. Today, I've been freezing all day. What do you think? Is being cold a symptom?

If we don't get pregnant this time, I'm going to try acupuncture. How was the meditation? I hadn't thought of that, but I know it's great for stress reduction, which can only be a good thing right?

Im not sure freezing is a symptom.... I haven't come across that one on any of the websites that give you a early symptoms of pregnancy Smile ... The meditation class was strange.. Not really sure how I feel about it, it was two hours the first part was ok lots of imagery and poses the second part was sitting with more imagery. By the second half I started thinking about what I had to do the rest of the day so I dont think I got that much out of it.. I like the prenatal yoga alot better I feel revived after that.

Definitally do acupuncture even if this is your cycle... It is one of the most relaxing things I do for myself.. It also is supposed help with lessoning the risk for miscarriage when done during the first trimester. I can't promote it enough.. My cousin whom went through two bouts of breast cancer and endometriosis was told she would never never never have kids. The acupuncturist was treating her for the chemo side effects and the and started treating her for fertility within 3 months she was pregnant. Now she has two beautiful children....

Any other symptoms? I have been a little nausea and breast slightly tender but I am still chaulking that up to the ovidrel... It's way tooooo soon right I mean I don't even think implantation has occured yet... lol.. Oh my how does the brain play tricks.. I did get good news they tested my progesterone yesterday and it came back at 10.8. My RE said that was great she wanted it over 8.....

Fingers crossed for the both of us...
