Hi guys - well my IVF pregnancy was short-lived. Despite great beta numbers at 11dp3dt and at 5w3d, the pregnancy wasn't viable. It turned out that the numbers weren't indicative of a healthy singleton pregnancy, but an unhealthy identical twin pregnancy.
We were so excited for the first ultrasound two weeks ago only to be crushed at not seeing a heartbeat on an embryo measuring 5 days behind. 3 days later twins with slow heartbeats were found. It was horrible how we had to keep going back (4X in 10 days) because their prognosis was unclear, but last Tuesday, they hadn't grown and the heartbeats were so slow we scheduled a D&C to get it over with.
The whole experience was just horrible. The weekend we found out, all we could do was sleep for 3 days. The contrast from being all but sure we had beaten the odds, to having it ripped from us was devastating.

Thank you for all the kind words. They mean a lot. We are obviously still incredibly upset, but it's been a few days now since the D&C and I'm feeling physically better.
