How many of you make your own? The recipe i follow doesnt seem to make mine very liquidy so if you have a good recipe or advice it would be greatly appreciated!
I use fels naptha soap, borax, and washing soda, and of course water.
It's a powder and works really well. We made up a big batch in a 5 gallon bucket and it'll last a bazillion years. (Plus I always give samples away to friends and family to try.)

I use the recipe on the Duggar website for liquid. For powdered I use
1 cup borax
1 cup washing soda
1 grated bar fels naptha
blend up in food processer and use 1 T per load... I have a HE frontloader and it works great
IMO powder is less messy to use and store, the homemade liquid was always gloppy and made a huge batch/mess.
I've also used Kirks and Octagon bars of soap. I think the Fels Naptha gets things cleaner though.
