We were talking about breastfeeding, much to his chagrin, and I was talking about how milk comes out of kind of different holes. He literally had no idea, and was rendered speechless for a few minutes. I guess he thought it was like a bottle with just one hole. I wouldn't have known that before pumping, so it was funny to traumatize him with my experience.

You just freaked me out!! I had no idea! **Off to research boobs**
I, too, had no idea!!! Yikes!!!
I was anticipating 3 holes, LOL, simply because I had my breasts pierced for the 4 years I was in college.. and, though they are very much closed, I've read that I will still lactate from those holes.. but, 15??! Woah!! LOL.. that's a little intimidating!!!
Its really cool to watch when you pump and you get a good let-down.

Its when you start squirting out a ton of milk while pumping. Think of it as releasing the flood gates...

Same!
When you nurse and the pump or your little one latches on, it signals your body to release the milk and that's the let-down. The milk is let down to your nipple and it's a sensation you can feel as well, sort of tingly all through your breast. At the beginning, the milk can actually come out on it's own without force if your body is signaled to let down (sound of a baby crying is the #1 reason).
