I didn't have a 30 weeker but your baby is only 39 weeks gestational age by your ticker so they shouldn't be sttn through the night yet. When we came home at 1 week adjusted we were told to still wake DS up every 3-4 hours to eat. We got the okay to allow him to wake himself up when he was 2 months adjusted.

Thanks so much, yes we were told to wake him up every 3-4 hours until due date, but 2 mths adjusted sounds a lot closer to what I originally researched.
He started having a longer stretch at night (4-5 hrs) by 5 weeks adjusted. Def not STTN though!

When I went back to work.. when the boys were 12 weeks old (2 weeks adjusted) they were getting up once/night. By 4 months old, 1.5 months adjusted they were STTN 12 hours.
I have a 29 weeker. The doctors wouldn't let her STTN until she reached 12 lbs. (Although we did it when she was around 10 lbs) The Nutritionist told me that babies that are smaller than12lbs shouldn't go longer than 4-5 hours to eat because of their liver or something. Sorry, I don't have a better explanation. But my DD was impossible to wake in the middle of the night- she wanted to sleep and wouldn't eat much.

My 30 weeker is now 4 months adjusted, and has slept through the night a handful of times. It's still not regular and only started happening in the past few weeks.
I was told around 10 pounds they'd start to have enough fat to sustain them for longer periods, and sure enough at around 7 weeks adjusted they hit almost 10 pounds and slept almost 8 hours.

My LO was 31 weeks but she did not sleep through the night until she was about 6 months old. We did everything we could think to get her to, bedtime routine, very clear daytime vs. nighttime hours but she still woke up to eat until she was 6 months old. My doctor said as long as she was waking up to eat I needed to feed her because she must need the extra calories.
