Bleeding after IUD Removal?

How long after your removal did you continue to bleed? I had mine removed Thursday around 12:30 pm. So over 48 hours ago and I'm still bleeding. Not spotting either. Bright red blood in the toilet, on the TP, pads, everything. (sorry TMI). Is this normal?

I guess it's not possible for me to to have started my period yet, right? It was getting close to when I would've started my "period" on the IUD, though. I want to go back to charting after my first period, so I guess I want to make sure this is still bleeding from the removal rather than a really quick start to a period. How long did you bleed after you got your IUD removed?
