Now this isn't the actual OBs fault, but the front end staff. But I got a letter today from the testing facility for my NT bloodwork. And they were never sent my insurance information. Ugh. I was wondering why the test results weren't in the online system.
So of course I have to wait until Monday to call them and hopefully get it resolved. I am already anxious to hear the results, this just pisses me off. I will be bringing the letter with me at my next visit so they know they messed up. Mean? Maybe, but that is something that shouldn't be an issue.
Re: Grrr, my OB's office messed up.
Actually that sounds about right. In my state (CA), the state does the testing so all blood samples are sent to a central place. When the results come in, the lab (not the doctor) sends you the bill but then also includes a sheet where you can note down your insurance information. It may be that your state has a similar arrangement where an independent facility does everything so they don't take anything other than the blood from your doc.
Also, even though my doc puts all results of everything online, the genetic screenings were the only thing that weren't. I don't know if it's b/c the lab is independent but that happened to me as well so the only place I could get my results was straight from the doc's mouth!
I wouldn't worry.
No, there was a spot for the insurance info to be filled out by the doctors office. They neglected to do so though. They had part for me to fill out as well, since we used ivf. The results have been in, but they won't release it until payment is made, of course. But they should've gotten that info when the test paperwork was sent in. I am not worried, just frustrated that the forms were not filled out correctly and now I have to wait longer.
This is the second error I have had with the front end staff at the office. It gets old. I like my OBs too much to leave though.

Ha! That's nothing! My stupid ob's office never even submitted my scan paperwork for me to have one done at all! I ended up rushing at 13w5d to have it, then I had to hustle to get it done the next day.
Tomomortow will b my last appt with them and then I'm switching to a new ob. I just cant trust them to tell me about tests, bloodwork, etc. I need.
