Trying to Get Pregnant

First time trying Comid.

I am new to this site and have a few questions.  I have been trying to conceive now for awhile and am about to try my first round of Clomid (50mg). I am experiencing a range of emotions and just wanted to talk to someone that is or has gone though the same thing. I was wondering if there is anything I should be mindful of or if anyone has any helpful tips?

Any advice is welcome!

How long is "a while?"  I just finished my 4th round of Clomid.

As far as being mindful, I'm assuming al diagnostic testing has come back OK and your RE has a good plan in place for monitoring (u/s and b/w several times)?

  • I have only taken clomid once, back in March of 2007.  I was under the care of an RE and they monitored me very closely.  Please be sure that you are being monitored by blood work and ultrasound.

I didn't get pg the month that I took clomid, but I did get pg with DD #1 the next cycle.  My RE thinks that the drug was still active in my system and it helped my ovulate on my own.

Welcome to the board and good luck!
