i don't normally buy expensive outfits, but sometimes I have trouble resisting something so cute lol. Plus I've come to find out it's quite easy to resell baby clothes online, so i figured maybe i could sell it next year around this time for a few bucks. I guess i forgot to mention that she's getting her pictures taken in it & her birthday is in february so we are having a valentines day themed party that she can wear it at
I think its cute dress and she's going to get to wear it a lot plus smart idea on reselling it.
I can't see that dress being worn a lot. She said her pictures and the birthday party. I guess she can sell it but there is no way to get anywhere near what she paid.
Wow! Harsh much?? You guys are being a little tough, don't you think?
I think that her post was just to share the outfit and show how cute it was (absolutely adorable by the way- how sweet for photos and a party- she will look like a doll!) I don't think the purpose of the post was to be scolded for how much someone chooses to spend on an outfit. My hubby are in the process of trying to adopt a baby- we have been waiting a long time to be parents and are only going to get to do this once. So, I know that I am going to be buying some things that may seem excessive but that I feel are absolutely adorable just because I can.
Maybe we should just focus on the original purpose of the post... just a thought...

My thoughts exactly, I would never spend this much on an outfit but I have no problem if someone else who can afford it want to! I don't know why it bothers other people that much.
It's very cute for the occasion. Do not justify yourself to these rude people on here. You can spend your money the way you want to. Enjoy and hey if you have it go ahead and buy it. It's cute!

This. Who the hell cares how much someone spends on an outfit for their child? Live a little! I like it and spoil her rotten!
I think it is super cute, and you only live once! Everyone splurges on something in life... for some it might be a trip to starbuck everyday, and for you it may be a cute outfit like this. Take lots of photos of your precious baby in it!

WOW. People are JUDGEY. I love this outfit! Your daughter is sure to be a cutie in it! I spend hundreds of dollars on a pair of shoes or handbag, but I am usually a bargain shopper for anything else. We all have our little indulgences. Lol. If you can afford it, buy what you like, you don't have to answer to internet strangers on how you spend the money you work for. I really don't understand how you can judge someones else's purchases like that, whose business it that? Jealousy looks ugly on everyone... People have different tastes, different budgets, and different priorities... If you can't spend or don't want to spend $50 on something, then don't, but some people can and do. Is she supposed to feel bad about that?
Anyways, $50 is not bad for a special occasion children's dress. Has no one shopped at Children's Place, Oilily, Hannah Anderson, or Janie and Jack? Some of the really cute dresses can be $80 and above. AND you are reselling it, so enjoy and post pictures of your Valentines sweety when you get the pictures!

I wanted to add... I would re-think re-selling it. It would be very cute to frame in a glass frame as a momento... I have friends that have done that... it is really sweet. Then when your little girl is 10 years old she can look back on it... maybe have it framed in her bedroom. It could be one of those dresses that you save forever.

this is a great idea!! I think that's a precious cute dress and would.be so sweet in a shadow box with her birthday invitation and a picture of her in it.

Too cute! I must say it is expensive but for a birthday/pictures/party why not? Now if it was a random Thursday then I might give you the side-eye lol. Good luck preserving it/selling it. I would totally be paranoid about birthday cake stains-but then again I am messy like a 3 year old;-)
A little frilly for my taste, but if you love it and can afford it, then more power to you. I have spent ridiculous sums of money on clothes for DS too because they were just too cute to pass up.
