TTC after 35

38 and pregnant with lots of help..

Hi ladies, I am currently 7 months pregnant with baby 6, a little boy. He is my first pregnancy since my tubal reversal surgery Feb 14, 2011. We waited the 2 months before TTC. I took, Damiana and Soy Isoflavones (from a herb shop) and took 2 rounds of Clomid starting in May 2011 and had my first BFP Aug. 8, 2011. Give those a try ladies, my new DH took the Damiana too, although he had a high sperm count, we figured why not make it higher and stronger. And of course we are huge praying fans, so whether it was the pills or God, or both, none the less we are very happy and blessed. Oh also, he cut of any "colored" soda's, esp. Coke/Pepsi, and anything with caffeine, even his favorite sweet tea. And of course this is all just advice/suggestions ladies, but I know when you are so desperate to have your first or next child, you will try anything, and aside from the Clomid, the others are natural. Oh he stopped drinking whole milk too, went to 2 % only. If I can help or answer any questions please let me know. It's hard to believe my oldest son is 23 with a son of his own. Crazy how life changes and works out. I will be induced at midnight Easter Sunday April 8, well technically April 9th. So I am gonna stuff myself with some Easter ham before they starve me at the hospital.LOL.. Be blessed ladies, and I wish lots of baby dust for you all. Tracy and Markeith

Re: 38 and pregnant with lots of help..

  • Congratulations on your miracle! It's SO nice to finally have an expert around here to help us with getting pregnant! Here is my question:

My DH likes to eat plain yogurt - the whole-milk variety. Do you think if I pray, that God will secretly make the yogurt low-fat? I think this is what is preventing us from getting pregnant, but my DH just won't listen to reason. I am also concerned that he does not enjoy watching football, like the other men we know (all of whom have children.)

    Thank you and God bless!

  • This is NOT an appropriate post for a TTC board full of women, many of whom have been trying for years to conceive and many of who have diagnosed fertility issues.  Those who are TTC and looking for "hope" know to look on the pregnancy boards, they don't need it shoved down their throats by a complete stranger under the guise of "just wanting to help".  Your post is the equivalent of running up to complete strangers and shouting "Look at me, I'm pregnant and you can be too if you only just do what I did".

Please try to be a little more thoughtful and tactful when dealing with those who have not yet achieved success.

To the TTC>35 ladies -- I hope you don't mind me popping in to post this reply, but I still hate to see y'all getting crapped all over with these people who think just because they were lucky and got pregnant, that they can offer you some "insight" and "hope" ---- as if you all aren't trying everything you can already.

Love this, although I fear the OP may not pick up on the sarcasm.

  • Ok, I am so not in the mood for a post like this today.

OP,  we are not nasty, we are tired and worn out and sick of IF, which as a mother of 6 you clearly have no idea how to relate to this.

Thanks for the good intentions, I am going to assume that is what you had.  But please  go to the April 2012 moms board and post there, ok? That's about as nice as I can be this morning. Good luck with your pregnancy, I wish you the best.

TTC since 3/2010. Me 41, DH-49. After 3 years, 6 IUIs and several IVFs we have finally have our beautiful baby girl, born on 11/7/13.

Interesting that you deleted your other replies, but left this to show your true nature.  Someone who was truly interested in helping others or being compassionate would have been more understanding and never have responded in this way.  Please go away now.

Well, that proves it...you are an asshat and douche canoe!   What did you honestly think a bunch of ladies who have fertility issues would say to your so called words of wisdom?  Would you walk into an infertility support group, REs waiting room, or OB office with your baby bump and yell out...just use these herbs and have DH drink 2%.  I highly doubt it.  If you wouldn't say it there...don't say it here.

Hopefully when you become a mother, you will learn all about compassion, kindness and sensitivity.  GL.

  • I had to really think about wether I should respond to this or not....

Im not responding to the OP.  I'm addressing the regular ladies on this board, many of whom were here and very supportive when I was posting.

Im sorry.  I'm just so sorry that people are so ignorant and insensitive. I'm sorry that I wasn't here to jump on her earlier and, trust me, I will be keeping an eye on her if she shows up on other boards.

Im going to guess based on the asinine content of the  OP that she may be a troll because, really, who is that stupid?
