Woke up this morning to a terrible backache and stomach pain. In my back I'm feeling tremendous pressure, sort of like what comes with a contraction but about ten times worse than I've ever felt. My stomach is getting very sharp, shooting pains that increase every time I move or adjust positions. It's not cramping like with the contrax I've felt before... and it's extremely constant. It doesn't level off or peak (unless I'm moving around, as I mentioned before).
I really don't want to go to the hospital, though, because at my last appointment I was dilated to 1cm and I'm pretty sure that once the nurses check to see if I'm in labor and find that I'm not, they'll just give me some pain meds that will most likely make me puke and send me on my way. Then again, I HATE being in pain. For the most part, I have accepted the aches and quirks that come along with the territory of pregnancy, but this is UNBEARABLE. I think I'll give it about another hour, and if it doesn't ease up I'll wake DH and ask him to drive me to the hospital. Maybe.
Happy Saturday, ladies.
