* MrsWhite * (HLG question)

I was wondering what you are doing with your juicer?  You mentioned some recipes - but how do you incorporate it in your diet?  Like as a meal replacement, etc?

I didn't have time for breakfast this morning, so I had this -

And then I picked up a smoothie at Target, I actually felt really good even though I hadn't had anything 'solid'.  Usually even if I have just a yogurt I feel like crap.  I think I needed a "clean" morning.  So I was wondering what you eat with the juice, if you feel full, etc.

BTW how's it going w/J and introducing new foods?  I don't think I was particularly helpful..

Re: * MrsWhite * (HLG question)

  • DH does it as a meal replacement for breakfast 6 out of 7 days a week. I do it probably like 3 days but I have coffee too :)

    I do feel surprisingly full. We do about 90% veggies in ours. The standard breakfast juice is carrot, kale, cucumber and some apple. If I have beets I'll throw them in.

    J will not touch the juice. He loves making it but won't touch it. He's been lovin some of the "skinny" recipes though. I found a fake "baked potato" soup which is essential half a baked potato and 2 c steamed cauliflower pureed with skim milk and low sodium chicken broth. You're supposed to top it with bacon and cheese but I top his with corn.... he's eaten 5 bowls in the last 3 day, lol.

  • Ohhh and when I say J, I automatically think Justin, haha.

    DH is doing great too. He's been a real trooper. It's not too much the new foods, it's the new portion sizes ;0)

  • I am hijacking your post because I didn't want to start a new post.

    MrsWhite- I saw in your FFC that J doesn't like the bath.  I have two tub tricks I don't know if you have tried.  One is bathtub crayons!  They have them right in the grocery store, I let the kids write all over the tub walls and it just wipes right off with a warm, wet washcloth.  When else can you write on the walls.  My other tub bribe is Crayola bath tub fizzies, also right at the grocery store.  They turn the tub different colors, I actually get creeped out by colored water, but the kids love it and it gets them in!  Hope that helps!  Oh, and colored foam soap, another kids product.

    Tried them all. He hasn't had a bath in months- he says that he's 3 so he has to take a shower. Once he's in he's fine but it's like pulling teeth to get him away from playing.
