My baby is back i n the hospital for jaundice :(

I know it's a very common thing, and by sitting under the bili-light he will be much better, but sitting here watching my baby with a mask over his eyes in the hospital mkes me sick to my stomach and want to cry.  He will be just fine and I can't help feeling so worried and upset.  Being a mommy is wonderful/scary!

    I know the exact feeling. Brooke has jaundice and it is so hard watching them like this but it gets better and your know they are doing all they can to make sure he will be okay.

    I think being alone in the hospital was the worst part... I was discharged and back in the following day, and DH couldn't room in with me.

    I'm sorry you have to go through that - I'm praying Luke doesn't have the same misfortune his big brother had!

    My son had the same thing, plus he couldn't hold his glucose levels at first so he was getting poked on his poor little feet before every feeding, he was born last saturday and we just got home yesterday. He is on oxygen for now too. Other than that though he's SO pink from the bililights, it will be worth it!! I was alone through all of it because DH is in Texas, so I know how hard it is to be alone in there by yourself and only able to interact with your baby when someone says so. Its tough, hugs to you<3

    Thank you everyone for your kind words.  Jameson is handeling it like a pro, it's his mommy who is having a meltdown lol.  He has been poked 4 times now,  one time on his little foot didn't work so they had to put a needle in his little arm :(  As if that wasn't bad enough, the lab tech DROPPED one of the vials on the ground (the cap was of course off) and he may have to be poked again.  I was pretty upset at her.  I know accidents happen but it is so hard to watch my baby get poked over and over again.

    Im so sorry you are going through this!! My baby was in the hospital over night because of jaundice too. It was so sad! She slept the whole time she was under the lights and seemed happy and content and I sat on the uncomfortable chair crying my eyes out cause I couldn't hold her. I think it might be harder on us moms then it is for the baby.

    I have a really cute pic of her with the goggles on too, I can appreciate it now =)

    When we went in it was 18.1.  We were sent home with it being at a 12.  We go back Monday to test his levels again. Thank you everyone so much for your kind words!
