I have mastitis...again

I just finished the antibiotic for mastitis on Tuesday.  Last night I noticed a red hot spot on each of my breasts, so at E's pedi appointment today I asked the NP (who's also a LC) to look and see if she thought it was mastitis before I called my doc.  Yep, sure is.  So my doc called me in a different antibiotic that will hopefully clear things up for good this time.

    Dicloxacillin? Hope you are feeling better soon, mastitis is brutal! I haven't gotten it with ds, but had it 3 times with dd.

    That's the medicine I just finished a couple days ago.  My doc called in a different one this time.  I don't have the bottle handy, but it starts with a C.  Hopefully it works and the mastitis goes away - it's definitely not fun.

    warm compresses and hot showers help. pump pump pump and feed feed feed you want to keep your supply up and it will help draw out the infection. Check your nipples for cracks. It sucks I ended up in the hospital from mastitis with DD not fun .

    Ugghh  I was in the hospital 2 days ago with mastitis too...  I feel your pain.  Now Im pretty sure I have a breast abscess, as there is still a large lump that wont go away!!  Boobs suck!!!!
