I voted first name, but the truth is I avoid calling them anything at all-- my mother is southern and I was raised you NEVER call an adult older than you by their first name unless you met them as an adult and you work with them or something. But I can't really call them Miss _____ and Mr ________.
DH calls my parents mom and dad- which is extra odd since I call them mama and daddy

They refer to themselves as mom and dad but I've never felt comfortable with that so I call them nothing. I'm not kidding, in the 5 1/2 years we've been married I've managed to never have to get their attention using their names so I've avoided the issue. And now with Ev here I can just refer to them as nana and papa so I will continue to not call them mom and dad .

To other people I call them their names. When I'm around them I actually successfully avoid calling them anything at all. My MIL especially would be super insulted if I didn't call her Mom, but I have a Mom so that just feels weird. I've always been terrible remembering names so I am actually really skilled at avoiding using people's names entirely without it being noticeable- lots of practice.
I avoid calling them anything, really. If I have to, it's Ma and Ba, which is vietnamese for mom and dad. I feel weird calling them that, even, b/c our relationship sucks.
Mostly first names. I do often call MIL, Uma, which is Korean for mom. I would feel weird straight up saying mom since that's what I call my mom. lol. FIL is strictly first name unless I am referring to him as Grandpa. I think he would prefer dad, but that just feels odd to me. Especially since for so long he was Mr. K.
I voted jerks :-D But seriously, I have never called them anything! I just talk to them without using a name. I never call them and I can't think of a time when I had to actually get their attention other than just talking to them. Weird, I know. If I had to get their attention, you know, to warn them of impending danger (ha!) I would probably use their first names.
