Pregnant after a Loss

Baby Movement, feels like vibration

Ok so this might be an odd question. I know I am early but at 11 weeks I started feeling this baby. Very inconsistent, maybe once every 3 days and then more often until now. Last night after supper I had this feeling that felt like vibration. Sometimes its fast then it slows down and then it will stop. This has been happening off and on yesterday evening, I woke up with it last night and still this morning. But it comes and goes so much. It kinda worries me a little. I don't know why cause I know its baby moving but why am o feeling it so much. Is it possible baby is just in a position where I can feel it more for some reason. I have also been feeling more like nudged lately too. Thanks for listening ladies. The worries of being PGAL are exhausting sometimes. :)

Re: Baby Movement, feels like vibration

  • I started to feel the baby at 11wks too. My midwife didn't believe really until she was searching for a heartbeat on the doppler and I told her where he was. She did say that even though it's rare, there are plenty of FTM, that can and will feel the baby early. By 17wks I felt the baby every day a couple times per day.

Every thing with me seems to be fine. Good NT scans and AS scans. Look at it as reassuring. Feeling that baby should be a sign for you that things are going well.

  • Sounds like "quickening" to me.  I think I've been feeling baby since 10-11 weeks, but like you said, only noticeable every few days.  But this week, I feel this pressure that almost tickles at the same time.  It only lasts a few seconds then goes away.  My only explaination, baby.  Every single time we've seen an ultrasound, LO can't be still.  In fact, mid ultrasound last week, baby decided to do a complete head stand. LOL.  I think this is why I can feel s/he so often.  I still doubt myself most days, but it shouldn't be long now before it's more regular.

  • I've been told that they "vibrations" are due to the baby making so many neurons and brain connections. I know some moms have freaked because they thought the baby was having seizures (which it can feel sorta like)
