Preemie milestones,Oh so sweet!!!

Hello fellow preemie moms!

Sometimes we caught up in the hustle and bustle of the care of our LO's that we need to stop and smell the roses (or a poopie diaper LOL!)...Im just so enjoying my LO constant smiles (and its not gas smiles!!!) and how amazing my LO is developing, now just a few months old adjusted I am amazed with the strong neck holding up that precious head!!! The movement of the arms and hands to the mouth just mesmerized by all the fingers lol!!!  

oh yes, how about their leg flexibility, wow! wish I could still do that!!! 

I hope all of your LO's are doing well and your enjoying every precious moment. Please share how your LO is coming along its always so refreshing to hear their accomplishments whether big or small!!

    Violet has started grinning at me and is putting on weight like a champ.  Today she was 7lbs 10oz at the doctor at exactly 11 weeks.  She was born at 4lbs 11ozs and dropped to 4lbs 3ozs in the NICU.  I'm so proud of my little chunker Smile 

    Her reflux is still nasty but we're working on it.

    Omg that picture of Violet on the stuffed lamb is awesome!!! She is sooo gorgeous....so glad she is doing so good, just amazing!!!

    Hey ladies! I love to think of the progress Declan has made! He just found his feet a couple days ago...I mean trying to grab them! He is blowing raspberries at us and will give a good chuckle if you tickle him in the right spot or do something funny. He is now reaching for toys that are out away from him (rather than those you put right at his chest) and he is trying to roll belly to back and to sit...but we still have a little way to go for that! Last weight was 12 lbs...we get weighed tomorrow!

    Owen is laughing but only to the "beep beep" of the preemie song recording.  He also figured out to roll from belly to back last week but only during the night.  He does it about 4 times a night and each time needs a comfort nurse back to sleep so no more sttn for us.

    I know exactly how you feel. I was so worried he would be so behind. But he has blown me away with how fast it's all happening. 

    He is 2.5 months old, but due date was dec 15th, came on Oct 30th.

    He is doing amazing things, my friends with babies that were full term babies are surprised with all he is doing. He is rolling over already!! how crazy is that? He has started holding a toy for a little while. He smiles if I shake a rattle. He smiles more often now. If I hold him up over me, he stands on me, and then tries to walk, moves one leg in front of the other. It's just crazy. Happening so fast. I don't mean to come off like I'm bragging or anything, I am just so blown away. Just 2 months ago he was in the NICU and we were told he might be behind and we were so worried about him, and here he is today, just blowing me away every day. he's amazing. so proud of our little guy.

    Umm..so I quoted the above and my message below it didn't show up.  LOL.  My due date was also December 15, and my little guy Odin was born on October 20.  Thought the similarities between our stories were neat..Odin is growing like crazy too, he was 4 lbs 10 oz at birth and is now 12 lbs!  No rolling over yet or putting weight on his legs, but his smiles melt my heart!

    oh wow, that's amazing we had the same due date and had preemies. Congrats on your little guy, looove his name. And the smiles are amazing! best thing ever!

    Hi ladies! Congrats on your LO's success! I too had the Dec. 15th due date and Landon was born Oct. 23. He was 5lbs at birth and is now 11lbs! He is rolling over and smiling like crazy! It truly is the BEST!

    I love this post! All your LOs are doing so great! I love to read about them - DD is amazing us everyday! shes up to 17lbs!!!! what a chunker! she started solids, is sitting up by herself and even starts daycare in a few weeks (OMG) - We had PT/OT yesterday and her OT says shes more than met her goals for her adjusted age and if she was doing an eval she wouldnt recommend anymore therapy - were going to keep it up as long as the insurance will pay for it but hearing that DD was already catching up to her actual age developmentally was awesome news! She does something new everyday and looks more and more like her daddy! She really recognizes us now and squeals when she sees me after work - I melt everytime -
