No sooner than I posted that poll, I heard the mailman at the door.
There was a priority mail envelope in there, from MIL, addressed to both of us but me on top. She sends us clippings all the time, but usually addressed to DH or if both of us, he's on top, so I let him open them. I could feel glitter on a card in there, so I was thinking it was holiday card from a friend she wanted us to read. Turned out to be a Valentines card, not in an envelope. I though that was a bit odd, but she's quirky. Opened the card, because, well, even though it's not Valentine's yet, it's already open and in my hand. In it were 2 checks, one for each of us. Enough combined to pay for almost our entire pricey IVF cycle.
I am sobbing. And shaking so hard it's taken me a very long time to type this.
OMG.

Oh wow!!! I am so happy for you. That is just wonderful!
TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!
Thanks!! I am sooo blown away!
I mean, I know a cycle of IVF isn't guaranteed, but what we'd be doing is different than your average IVF cycle. The chromosomal testing will mean that only an embie with a real fighting chance of making it would be put back in me. And they use an amazing new freezing technique that gets waay better results in my age group than not freezing. I think it's 15% for not frozen and 38% for frozen.
Anyway, I'll be doing TCM with it, and hopefully all of this together will do it. And if we can get enough healthy embies for a future FET if the first one doesn't take, all's the better.
Either way, I called my friend who's their embryologist to tell him it's ON, and he was so excited for us! He promised to personally handle every bit of our labwork and I can't tell you how much less clinical it makes the whole process feel to know that I know the person who will be doing the ICSI and everything else.
