I was having cramping and some off and on contractions the past couple of days, but now I feel like it's stopped. Yeah, I'm still waddling around with a lot of pressure on my girly bits, but I'm frustrated there isn't any indication now that labor is starting soon. I was hoping to go into labor this weekend. Baby is just as active as ever, and I keep trying to tell him that there's more room to squirm around out here. I'm worried at this rate I'm going to be induced at 41 weeks because I won't start on my own. It's disheartening, perhaps moreso because the conversation on this board is shifting to talking about all these beautiful new babies.
Anyone else still cooking babies need to vent? Any advice for a disspirited pregnant lady?
Re: Still Pregnant Vent
I am still baking baby!! Officially due tomorrow, induction scheduled for 1/25 the best thing this baby can do is come on own!!! Cervix still high, fair amount of cramping/contractions and still no result. Pelvic pressure, leg cramps at night go figure still don't see end in sight
OOOHHH, ME!! I need to vent!
I'm still cookin'. I've been having crampy pain and general tightness in my belly ever since yesterday evening. It could be BH or it could be pre-labor.
I was supposed to have a u/s to check LO's size and a dr's appt today but the office was closed and my appt canceled due to all the snow we have here in Western Washington. When the receptionist called to cancel my appt she told me to call tomorrow to reschedule. I asked what kind of priority my appt would be given since I'm 39+ weeks pg and she said she didn't know. My appt was later this week than it should have been due to the holiday on Monday and my dr's scheduled surgery day on Tuesday. I have no idea if the office will even be open tomorrow because right now the weather looks like it's not going to cooperate. I'm going to be really, really pissed if I can't get in until late next week.
I was really looking forward to my appt today because I'm anxious to see how big LO might be and I wanted to ask my dr about the cramps and tightness. The receptionist told me I could call the on-call dr but I don't want to talk to a dr who I don't know and doesn't know me.
So as of right now I may or may not be having BH or be in prelabor. I can't tell if LO has dropped, I may have lost my mucus plug a couple of weeks ago but I'm not sure. I've had more frequent BMs and they've been a little loose but I'm not sure if that's because I may be in pre-labor or if it's just my IBS acting up. My lower back has been hurting and my hips hurt off and on. Oh, and if something does happen and I do go into labor we have to deal with snow and ice covered roads to get to the hosptial. UGH. FML.
Right there with you, girl. I'm supposed to be induced on Monday, but I'm just hoping and praying she will come one her own before then! Meanwhile, no cramps, no real contractions...nothing. It really is disheartening. But we will make it. And one way or another, we will soon be holding our precious LO's.
Good luck and I hope you go into labor SOON!
