"Holler If you have a baby"

DH has said this THREE times today. One time he ran into the store to grab something and said "text me if you have a baby" ....

Trust me, you'll be the first to know. I just find it hilarious...and sad. I wish it was that easy =(

Re: "Holler If you have a baby"

  • Totally off topic, but how much snow do you have?  We have about 4 inches here in Port Orchard.  My parents live in Parkland and have about 6 inches.

Also, did you hear about the woman who made it from Graham to St. Joseph's in Tacoma during the storm only to deliver her baby in the elevator because it got stuck between floors?  It was on King 5 news.  Luckly she had nurses and her MW in the elevator with her.  It took them 2 hours to get the doors open and then her husband crawled into the elevator to cut the cord.

  • I am in Sequim and we had to bring the baby home in the blizzard today! We got like 6-7 inches I would say.

  • That is funny. But before our son was released from NICU my husband was walking around with his picture gazing at it fondly and randomly mumbling that he has a son. Then he'd stick his chest out and carry on.

    Men.

Where did you deliver?  I'm having LO at Harrison in Silverdale.  I know two women who've given birth there in the last couple of days.  One had her baby on Tuesday and the other had hers on Monday or Tuesday and was going to be released tonight.

My husband got today off from work due to the snow.  The shipyard shut down.  He's got a 2 hour late start tomorrow.  I'm supposed to have a u/s and dr appt tomorrow but I'm not sure if the office will be open.  They were closed today because of the weather.  I'm hoping they'll be open.  I'm anxious to see how big they think LO is.  My family is hoping she comes on Saturday because it's my mom and sister's birthday and they want a 3rd generation born on the same day.

  • lol sorry to disappoint- I haven't found a way to change my location (seriously, I've looked for days and I think the bump moved it or something) but I moved out of Tacoma... my buddies at McChord say it's a snow day tomorrow, and they're posting pics of HUGE amounts of snow on the ground... of course, the year we're stationed there not a single snowflake dropped!

I delivered at Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles.  We considered Silverdale though but thought the drive would be a bit much.  Good thing we didn't considering the snow storm!

Hoping the doctor's office was open for you today!  My LO was a bit jaundice and the Peds clinic wanted us to take him in today to be monitored.  We left our house and got stuck in front of our house so we decided to cancel.  I can't believe the amount of snow we have gotten!

  • Nope, office was closed.  I got a call canceling my appt and was told to call tomorrow to reschedule.  I asked the receptionist what priority my appt would be given (I'm 39+ weeks and need a u/s) and she said that would be up to administration.  So frustrating!  This appt was already scheduled a few days later than it should have been due to Mondy being a holiday and Tuesday being my dr's surgery day.  I'm going to be really, really pissed if I have to wait until Tuesday or Wed to get in.

I really wanted to see my dr today because I have a couple of questions for her.  I've been having some menstural like cramps that occur with general tightness in my uterus.  I don't know if these are BH or maybe super mild contrax or what.  The cramping is uncomfortable but not necessarly painful.  I just really wanted some reassurance from her and now I don't have it.

I'm supposed to meet with my pp doula tonight so I'm going to ask her what she thinks they may be.  Ugh.  I hate not knowing!

I hope your LO is ok with the jaundice.  This stupid snow makes everything around here impossible.  I just knew something like this would happen late in my pg.  Everything else went so well.
