I almost did it when I was still BFing DS and I wrote Mar via the "ask the vendor a question" feature inside of groupon and she gave me a very thorough explanation.....of course I can't find it in my email now. Ultimately, I didn't feel 100% comfortable with it while BFing. I definitely wouldn't do it while pg, but you might make a different decision once you have more information.
You can use the same feature inside of groupon to ask her a question, or try paging her directly.
Ha! I read this as "B o b b y B o n e s" during pregnancy. I was wondering wtf BB could have to do with pregnancy.
I have no idea. Is it that different from highlighting? Dr. S gave me the a-okay to do that anytime during pregnancy. I skipped the 1st tri to be safe.

I opted not to even though my stylist assured me it would be ok, and the (what she calls "perceived") dangers are more for the stylist who is exposed to the fumes on a more regular basis (then she launched into this whole thing about how there's really not any danger even for stylists because it was all a publicity thing that BB's competitors started in the media blah blah blah. (she's a bit of a know it all who doesn't necessarily know it all, kwim?). I still wasn't comfortable so I opted out of it. She has some new product now, it's Italian but can't remember what it's called, that is formaldehyde-free, all natural and works better than BB she says. I'm going to get that done as soon as I lose my excess pg hair - because i have a ridiculous TON of hair right now and i don't want to pay all that money only to have half of it fall out in a few weeks!!
Dang. I was thinking it would be so convenient in the months right before the baby comes and right after.
I may be mistaken but I think the BB only lasts about 12ish weeks or so, so if you got it now, it probablyl wouldn't last you through the pregnancy. I don't know when that Groupon expires, but if you bought it then waited till the end of your pregnancy to have it done, it would probably be okay.
You could check with your doctor to see if he/she has any info or opinion on the matter. I remember googling the issue and coming up with a few mixed results, but the general consensus seemed to be that it just hadn't been tested enough with pregnant women to determine the effects, therefore, "when in doubt, do without" kind of thing...
Yeah, my thought was to buy it now and try to book it for a little later. Even if I couldn't wait till the very end (if it expired) if I really liked it I would do it again at the end. But it sounds better to wait. I'll double check with mar though and see, maybe she uses a more natural product. (fingers crossed!)

Haha, me too! OP I haven't done a lot of research on it, but at this point, no I would not.
