What about making a bunch of paper squares (or what ever shape) w/ the sight words on them and placing them on the floor. Then they can make a game of it like twister or he can be dancing and she can say a word and he has to put his foot or feet on it.

This is a cute idea. I do "clap, snap, tap" with my first grade students, where we clap and say each letter, then snap and say each letter, then tap hands on head and say each letter. You could probably pretty easily turn it into some kind of dance, like stomping with alternating feet/incorporating hand motions.
