Hi ladies,
Question for you regarding flu shots. At our pedi appointment today, we got all the regular 6 month shots, plus her synagist, and the pedi was recommending that we get a flu shot, but didn't want to to it today because that was a lot of vaccines at one time. We made another appointment to go back in 2 weeks for the flu shot. My concern is that isn't it pretty late in the season to be getting the flu shot? Is it even necessary at this point? I hate to have to make her go through with it if the benefit is minimal (doesn't flu season end in February?)
Thanks for your input.
Re: Flu shot for preemie?
Yes. I would 100% get the Flu shot right now. Because, really you can get the Flu any time of the year.
It is totally your call though.
I would get the shot. It is never fun watching them go through the pain. Just remember it for their health. I always get the flu shot for my DS.
This.
The flu "season" might vary by where you live, but most of the time it's Oct/November through March/April.
