Umm... does anyone else think this is gross... or just me.. ??

So I am trying to register for the shower and just happen to be browsing around and found this:

I just don't know about this... I know they have the plunger thing which I probably think is a better option..

What do you guys think?

  • It does seem gross at first but the nosefrida is the truth!

my friends and I became huge fans of this and when DD got nasty snotty noses from daycare every other week....this helped her breathe and sleep so much better.

  • I've never used one but heard they are better than anything else out there. There is something in place so you could never get any snot in your mouth or anything.

  • My good friend uses that on her son. I was totally grossed out the first time I saw her use it, but she swears by it.
  • I've heard lots of people swear by it, but I couldn't do it.  The thought of it makes me want to gag a little.  We stuck with the bulb sucker for DS and it worked fine for us.

  • It seems gross but it works so much better than the blue bulb. My kids would get so upset between suctions and trying to clear it out before holding them down for another round.

This is how I feel too. I don't think I could do it.

  • Ewwww! It looks gross to me! Ewww again
  • I have heard great things about it, but thinking about it just about makes me projectile vomit. Seriously. Both my sisters still use the bulb, and I'm not too big on those either. I registered for an electric one off of Amazon. I figured if it doesn't work very well, then oh well, I will go back to the bulb, but some reviews say it is awesome.

  • i'm sorry but the thought of it kinda makes me want to gag...... but i have heard people love these things and swear by them.... i think i'll just wait and see about this one... still kinda "icky" about it
  • I have a new mommy friend who uses it and loves it. Her husband prefers to put his mouth over their kid's nose and suck the snot out. Talk about gross!!

The electric one totally sucks (well, not literally and that's the problem).  It did absolutely nothing for us.  The bulb was a thousand times better.

This made me do the eww shiver... No way in the world I could do something like that...

  • The NoseFrida is the BEST at getting boogies out when your kid is sick. It does seem gross at first, but I've had mine for a little under 2 years and I have never had any issues and snot has never even come close to my mouth. The bulbs are horrible.

I tried three different versions of that one that were at BRU when my son was younger and they all did nothing for him.  I returned them.  Sounded like it would be so great.  I have never tried the Nose Frieda but have also heard great things.  When that electric one didn't work we just kept using the bulb.  I would try that Nose Frieda thing.  It is so sad and frusterating when they can't breathe from all of the snot.

  • I think that looks and sounds nasty.  Imagine the looks you would get using that in public.  We called the other things snot suckers, and those always seemed to do the job just fine.

This.  We have one and use it whenever DD is sick.  It's awesome.  So much better than the bulb.  It's really not gross at all.  The snot doesn't go in your mouth or anywhere near it.  When you have a stuffed up, miserable baby, you'll do anything to make them more comfortable.
