I want to find an eloquent way to mention on the invite that presents are not required but to suggest books if they insist on bringing something.
First... is it rude to specify what people should bring? He just has so many toys!
Second... any way to word that... i am having issues coming up with something.
TIA!

Here is something.. you can work with this wording and change it a bit:

That's super cute.

Love this!
This, unless people ask you directly, you can't tell them what to give as a gift.
I think if you would rather them not bring a gift, I would go the "your presence is enough" route. We're dealing with this at the moment, since her birthday is so close to after Christmas.
I don't think I would feel comfortable specifying a gift on the invite. I know at the moment I tell people we are trying to minimize the gifts she gets, and suggesting clothes, or money.
You can always donate stuff you don't want or need.
I'm about to go through DD's toy boxes ruthlessly, because she has so much stuff, and it's just not necessary.
And, BTW - it's good to "see" you! I've missed Oskar's face!
