1st Trimester

6 weeks pregnant and no symptoms

I am only 6 weeks along but have virtually no symptoms.  The only thing that I have really noticed is my boobs are giant and very tender.  Other than that, I have no nausea or moodiness and I am not exhausted.  I think I am a bit more tired than usual but in general I feel pretty great.

Is this normal???  It makes me worry a bit...

Thanks.

Re: 6 weeks pregnant and no symptoms

  • Some women don't have many symptoms so consider yourself one of the lucky ones. 24/7 nausea is not fun!

I was wondering why at 5 weeks I still didn't have any m/s and sure enough, it showed up just a few days later! I hope it goes away soon!!

  • Your a lucky girl. I said the same thing to my dr. i was like i have no symptoms other then cramps and sure a sh*t i woke up the next morning with nausea... great i jinxed myself.. Ha! Enjoy it.
  • I am right there with you. All I have is sore boobs, really tired all the time, and bloating. Other than that, no m/s. I asked my dr. the other day about it and she said that not everyone gets it and that she has seen many pregnant women not have m/s and have healthy pregnancies. It doesn't seem like I am going to have it, but who knows.

  • Hey there - don't worry - I'm right with you. I did some research (since I was also concerned) and it could be one of two things.

    1. 15% of pregnant women do not experience any morning sickness! or

    2. 20% of the 85% that do, start getting m/s at their 8th week (late bloomers).

Did your GYN do bloodwork? As long as your HcG and Progesterone levels are good, you're just a lucky lucky girl :)

  • I only experienced mild nausea, severe exhaustion with giant, sore boobs. I asked my doc too. I was so nervous since I don't feel anything still. But baby is in there and growing like a weed!

  • I am glad I found this post.  I have the exact same question.  Just found out that I am 6 weeks along and have no symptoms other than an occasional minor cramp.  Glad to hear I am not the only one...
  • Looks like we're non-symptomatic birth buddies!!!
  • KMalquist - I called my dr yesterday to inquire about not having symptoms and whether I should be concerned. Doc said not to worry - some women don't have symptoms until the 8th week or even later. I know that's what many women have posted, but it just felt better to have it confirmed.

And, yes we will be non-symptomatic birth buddies!
