DH came home this evening (he's been away on business) and the first words out of his mouth: "Why the does it smell like gas in here?"

So, yeah. Apparently I bumped the stove at some point this afternoon (I haven't used the stove at all today) and turned the gas on. Since I am crazy congested from my cedar allergies, I couldn't smell it and had absolutely no clue.

We've got every single window in the house open and turned the heater off so we don't have a spark if it tries to kick on.

Oh, I totally ran the dryer earlier, too. Thank goodness I didn't try and light a candle or something.

Andplusalso, my face is now on fire from all the cedar pollen coming into my house thanks to my dumbass and all the open windows.

Eek! That's scary. If it makes you feel any better I did the exact same thing once. Pretty sure I was pregnant at the time too.

very scary! We're in the neighborhood where the house exploded last week so we're on ultra high alert about gas these days. Seems like every other day one neighbor or the other calls the fire department. Glad you guys are safe!
