Remind me again of how I know when he's ready to have his foreskin pulled back to be washed. DH is still freaking out thinking I'm leading him into an infection caused amputation, but clearly there is no sign of infection.
I have G's 2 year well check up this aft, so I'll ask then, but thought I'd ask here too.
Re: Moms of uncirc'd boys
Icant take credit for that. My pedi's words, lol.
I do think my ds's was a bit tight and retracted a bit later than normal. I'd push it gently on occasion, but never forced it. Now let's just say that cleaning is not a problem, lol. It's the cleanest part of him
I make a point to touch his penis as little as possible.
He handles it enough on his own.
Ditto PPs - you don't need to do a thing to it.
Another mama of an intact little boy here - and yep - just soap it up like an elbow and rinse it off. It will retract on its own but prob not for a while (and don't let ANYBODY every try to retract it - not an uneducated pediatrician or nurse, care provider, etc.!!) THAT is what often causes the problems you hear about "oh so and so's little boy HAD to be circ'ed and it was awful yada yada yada!")
I did notice some white stuff on the tip of DS's penis a few weeks ago and said to DH "is this smega (or whatever the hell) and DH who is circ'ed was like "I don't know!" LOL. We just washed it off - no problems whatsoever.
