I have a Phil and Ted. It served its purpose (used it as my jogging stroller when I only had one), but now that DS2 is getting bigger, he has no desire to be in the back seat. The only place we really need a double for now is amusement park type places. I plan on buying a cheapie side by side double for our trip this summer.

I have a Britax B-Ready that converts to a double. I haven't tried it yet, but DD is in a double stroller at daycare (in-home daycare) so I know she's okay with being on the 'bottom' and I plan to get the carseat adaptor for the infant for top.

We have a Baby Jogger City Mini. We also have a Schwinn double running stroller. I use my city mini all the time. I love that it is lightweight, folds incredibly easy, fits in my trunk (jetta), and pushes really smooth. I only wish the basket was more accessible. I would buy this stroller again in a heartbeat. My kids are also 18 mos apart so it was totally necessary and I do stroller strides so I needed good double strollers. This next baby will be 27 mos behind DS#2 so I don't know if we will use it quite as much, but likely still a lot.
I have the Baby Jogger City Select. It can be used as a double or single stroller.
It's truly awesome.
This. i still use mine all the time. My boys are almost 4 and almost 2. Love it. Love that no one is below the other. When I go on walks I have DS1 sit facing me so we can talk and sign to our music.
I never bought one, but there was an awesome City Select one.
my kids were exactly 2 years apart... I wore the baby and pushed my son in his single stroller or let him walk.
When we went on vacation, we borrowed a double.
HTH. I'm really glad I didn't spend the money.
I'm so glad I saw this post, its been bugging me whether I should try to sell my City Mini and get the double stroller. I just thought DS would grow out of the stroller long before the baby, and have been wondering what I should do (I never wore DS). I''ll do this when we come out alone.
any opinions on the sit to stand stroller? I need something lightweight because I'm having a repeat c section and some of these double strollers are very heavy.

It makes me very happy to hear that, as I just ordered this stroller with the second seat. We're TTC #2 and I got a great deal on the whole setup (stroller, extra seat, glider board, carseat adapter)...

I'm strongly considering this, though I can't decide which type of carrier to get for the dead of summer.
