Do you still use a baby brush to brush your LO's hair?

Or have you changed to a regular hair brush, like the one you use on your own hair?

I am still using a baby brush on DD's hair but it is getting harder and harder to tame her bed head in the morning.  I dont know why I was thinking I still needed to be using a baby brush, maybe because she still has a small soft spot.  not sure if that matters.  This is seriously a stupid question, but I am just curious.

  • DD got hair late.  As in, was mostly bald at 1.  But her hair is coming in, and is somewhat fine and curly.  A baby brush does nothing.  But there's not enough hair for a big brush to grab onto either.  So I use a fine tooth comb (and leave-in conditioner), and it works great.

  • I use a comb and the Suave Kids detangling spray.  Works great!

  • A baby brush would get lost in her naps, lol.

I use one of DH's old "wave" brushes.  I think it's made from boar's hair.

  • We haven't used the baby brush since maybe 5-6 months old?  DD has crazy long hair and we've just used a regular brush on it since then or it turns into a tangly mess.

  • We do. Izz has pretty fine hair so it still does the trick.

  • I just realized we've never had to brush Eli's hair. It's so stick-straight and fine, it just falls in the same exact way every single day. It never gets tangled, either.

  • I don't use  any brush! DD and DS have no hair to brush.

Seriously we were at a party last weekend and there was a little girl my twins age who had pigtails and my DD kept pointing at them and then at her hair!  I am dying to do something with DD's hair!

  • Sophee is hair is very course and thick, so the baby brush was good the first 3 months after that I started to use regular comb and brush. I use a paddle brush to go through it once to get tangles out then a comb to make sure it is comb through.

  • L's hair is still pretty fine, but it is starting to get long and I think he's getting some of my curl.  The back is always getting super tangled from sleep and the car seat, so we've been having to comb through it while the conditioner is in it to get all the knots out.  Then when he's out of the shower we use the baby brush, or let it be so it can curl.

  • DH uses the baby brush, personally I think it makes her hair frizzy (she has straight hair but it just makes the bed head worse) I normally use the comb, I am waiting until my pump hairspray bottle is empty and I am going to fill that with water to help with the bed head but I'll definately continue with the comb I think a real brush is overkill.
