OK, first off...please be kind. I really didnt think we would end up this loud and this girly. We were going to go very subtle...but ended up taking a turn somewhere. I am still getting used to it because the rest of our house is so nuetral. Plus we had such a tiny room to work with. DH says it will come together a lot more once we get the decorations hung. But no turning back now...
So, I was MIA yesterday because I took off work for our PBK furniture delivery! I was so thankful they assemble it for you! Here is where we are. The crib and curtain (we are getting another panel for each window for more fullness). As well as the glider in the corner.
And this is before we hung the curtains, but shows the changing table/dresser-

Fun!
That rocking giraffe is so cute.
I had to laugh @ not planning on doing something so girly. It was the same for us. We were going to have a gender neutral nursery, but now we're having a pink rug, pink sheets, I even contemplated a pink glider! lol.
awwwww i think it looks cute- the dark furniture defiently tones down the walls- and once you put up some wall decorations its be awesome- great job!
They are actually the original hardwoods of the house, which was originally built in the 30s. They had been covered with carpet, and the guy who flipped the house that we bought it from was able to recover it. They have a ton of character to them. We are going to put down a small area rug though in the space that is in front of the crib. DH suggested carpeting the room. I looked at him like he was crazy! I am not covering those beautiful woods!
I just realized you might not have been talking about the floor..but yes, the furniture is espresso :-)
