Pregnant after IF

Ladies w/PCOS

Since I found out I was pregnant, and since we've told some people, everyone asks how I'm feeling.

Frankly, I feel fine.  Several people keep telling me I'm not out of the woods yet, and I'm quite aware of that.  But I read something yesterday that said, no symptoms just mean your body is handling the hormones.

That got me to thinking, maybe because of the PCOS and the fact that my hormones were messed up to begin with, I'm sort of, balancing out a bit.

So I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same thing?

  • Not to scare you ladies, but I have PCOS and I felt fine until around 9 weeks. Then I was vomiting from 9 - 20 weeks :(. I wished it upon myself because I was begging to have more symptoms... and then they arrived! But it's all worth it :)

  • I felt really good until about 7 weeks, but then I had 24/7 nausea and occasional vomiting through 15 weeks. Once I hit 15 weeks though, I felt fantastic, and I still feel really good. I am dealing more with heartburn every time I eat now, and in the middle of the night, but I'm not sure that's related to PCOS or anything. :)

LOL I wish that was the case. I'm gonna say something that I truly HATE when its said to me but it really applies here... Just wait it only gets worse. (not always in a bad way)

Enjoy that you have no symptoms your only 7 weeks you will be feeling pregnant in no time. Then you will be feeling really really pregnant before you know it.

    Good luck and Congrats

  • Congratulations - enjoy it.  I have PCOS too.  And to be fair, I haven't been really bad.  But I have had significant nausea, extreme food aversion, and have lost weight.  I know I have it a lot easier than a lot of other girls, but I certainly don't feel fine.  I'm glad you do though!  (That was sincere, not sarcastic. Big Smile)

  • I am the complete opposite. I have been so incredibly sick. I have recently began to feel better, but I am on Phenogren and Zofran. I also take Unisom at night. I figured that my body just cannot handle the hormones well. It's great that you are feeling so well.

  • Not sure if PCOS is the reason, but I never really had symptoms either. The only symptom I had in the very beginning of this pregnancy was slight vertigo-like dizziness around the 5 week mark and spotting until 9 weeks. I find I have more symptoms now in 3rd tri than I did in the beginning, but even then, it's just really bad heartburn.

What are you taking for the heartburn? I was taking Tums and Maalox, and they were doing nothing!! My doctor recommended Zantac, and I must say, it must be what heaven feels like. Just thought I'd pass it along in case the milder stuff isn't doing it for ya.

  • In one pregnancy (m/c) I had sore boobs, but with the twins, I had next to no symptoms.
