We converted DD's crib to a toddler bed last night. She's been climbing out, and after the scare with her bruises, I wanted to eliminate the risk of her falling and further injuring herself. Her bedroom set is on order but won't get here for about a month, so I just told DH to remove the crib rail for now.
She went to bed like an angel, but woke TWO HOURS earlier than usual (6:20am). Not cool. She's not exactly princess sparklepants this morning. To say the least.
Now I don't know what to do. Part of me thinks DH should just put the crib rail back on, and we could put DS's old crib mattress on the floor beside her crib to pad her potential fall. Then when her big girl bed arrives give it a try with that, making a bunch of fuss over it. Or do we tough it out with the toddler bed? Try a few more days? Decisions, decisions! Tell me what to do, wise ones.

Re: clicky poll: wwyd?
Yeah, I'm thinking we'll just leave it. Oddly enough the delivery company just called and her twin bed will be here next week, so I think I'll just give her some time to adjust.
Ha! These two are so different. When I went in to put Vivi back to bed she said "sorry mommy" in this sad little voice and crawled back in (didn't sleep, but still) .... her brother would've screamed his face off and busted a hole in the wall. So his transition experience doesn't do me a lot of good.
