It will be 2 weeks tomorrow that I had c-section. I just finished pain meds a couple days ago. My incision is really sore. I was expecting it to hurt a lot less by now. This is my third and I don't remember feeling this pain with my others. But that was years ago, so I don't remember much about it. How long until your incision was not sore, painful or bothering you anymore?
Re: How long was your incision sore?
I think mine was pretty sore for about 3 or 4 weeks. It's hard to remember because at my 2 week check up my dr removed the steri strips, which made the site sore all over again.
It took about 4-5 weeks for me.
ETA: I havent been on the perscription pain meds since three days after giving birth and I stopped taking the motrin before Ana was a week old.
I had pain meds (prescription ibuprofen) for 1 week after my c/s. I still took a combo of tylenol and advil daily for about 1-2 weeks afterwards because it was sore. Now LO is 10 months old and the incision area still hurts when I touch it, reach up for something up high or if my DH hugs me tightly. It's getting a lot better and has improved greatly in the last two months.
When I asked my doc how long it would tender for and he said, "I put my hand through a window 40 yrs ago and it's still tender." :S
