FTM...Any guesses?

in 3rd Trimester

DD tomarrow!! 2cm 90% effaced, thin membranes. Doc said he'd be surprised if I went a whole nother week. If you had to guess do you think it will be a week?

I know everyone's diffrent and there is really no way of knowing. Just needed someone to share the news with and thought it'd be fun to get some guesses :)

I'm obviously really excited.

    I showed up in full blown labor at only 1cm last time with my first.  It's hard to say.

    I can't believe doctors say things like that since they really have no way to know.  I have several friends whose doctors told them they wouldn't make it to their next appt. and they were back for several more before being induced 3-4 weeks later.  Way to get your hopes up and make you more miserable when nothing happens.  I would drop all expectations and plan to be pregnant for 1-2 more weeks so you don't end up disappointed.  If it happens in the next few days you can be pleasantly surprised.

    Hate to rain on the parade, but 2cm and 90% effaced mean nothing, you could walk around for weeks like that!  Generally, medical average, first pregnancies go until 41 weeks, just so you have that in your head. Now there are plenty of women who don't fit that statistic, but that's just the average.  I'm sure your doctor was trying to be encouraging, rather than telling you the hard truth.

    Good luck! savor these fast few days (if you can! haha, personally my hips hurt so badly, but I'm savoring as best I can)!  Soon you'll be snuggling your LO and won't be able to remember life w/o your precious one in your arms (in a good way!).
