M's 1 year ST eval

it wasn't at all what i thought it would be. i was under the assumption that they would actually evaluate him. they (our coordinator and the county person) actually just talked to me and my mom and our coordinator did talk to his therapist over the phone about M's progress.

they put him down as less then 50% articulation even though his therapist said that those that know him can understand about 60% but if you've never met him you'd only understand about 40%. but the less than 50% rating ensures that his therapy will continue till he's three

all in all i'm thrilled with his progress this far and i am interested to see what the school system will say when they evaluate him in the next few months. our coordinator was surprised when i told her that i hadn't heard from them yet so she called and they told her they don't set up the evals for the May birthdays until Feb

It sounds like he's made a lot of progress! I'm glad that the meeting went well over all. I always think it will be interesting to see how much more B will be able to do at her next evaluation then her first. We just started speech so I'm hoping that we start seeing good progress soon! She making slooooow gains. It's frustrating at times.
