You ladies gave me an awesome recommendation for a pediatrician in Dr. Hirsch. I need a general practitioner for myself and live in Gaithersburg. Does anyone have a GP that they swear by? I'm having some serious knee issues (i'm way too young for this!!!! This is why you should all NOT be a veterinarian - way too hard on the body!) that need some workup. Seriously, when does a thirty-something complain about her knees when the weather changes? ;-)

Any and all recommendations, either positive or negative, welcome. TIA!

    I love my doctors, but they're in Silver Spring, so they may be too far away for you. The practice is Cameron Medical Group. It's an all-female practice and all of the doctors are great.

    I've been to Comprehensive Primary Care off Shady Grove Road and while they're great for being able to fit you in right away, I don't think I'd recommend them beyond using them for a referral or quick "sick visit" when you know you've got a sinus infection or something and need a prescription. Sorry I don't have a better rec!

    Umdbride, thanks, that's kind of what i read on Angie's list. I have an appointment with Spectrum Family Medicine in Rockville, which seems to be the one that had the best reviews for what i was looking for. I don't know if anyone has any experience with them or not. We'll see what it brings next week!

    I use Spectrum for GP and have been happy with them, I've only had to go in for a few random "I'm sick" appointments and a physical a few years ago.   HTH!

    Cindyhow, thanks!!! That IS helpful - word of mouth, i've found, is usually the most trusted source ;-)
