DD is wearing a 7. However you are probably right about not buying shoes ahead. I buy almost all of DD's clothes ahead of time, but I just shop sales at the time for shoes. Way too unpredictable and not as much room for error.
I wouldn't buy shoes ahead. We've done this before. Not all shoes are made equal and a pair of summer shoes was never word because they never fit Abby at the right time.
DD was in size 6 right at 2. I buy tennis shoes ahead since DD wears them all year round, but I don't buy season specific shoes ahead. She was only in size 7 for 3 weeks.

7 at 2 years.
I have quit buying shoes ahead. Too many failed attempts to predict the correct size and too late to return them.
