Is Bronchitis contagious?

This may seem like a silly question. My sister always has sinus infections and sounds sick. Now she has Bronchitis. She has had it for about a week and is on sntibiotics for a few days I think. Is it safe to bring her around DD today?

    I do believe it's contagious (could be wrong) but normally if you're on antibiotic after 24 hrs you are no longer contagious

    I'm pretty sure bronchitis is not contagious. It normally forms from germs left behind by a cold, some people are more likely to develop it (smokers etc.) It's kind of like pneumonia.

    The cold that the person had that developed into bronchitis is contagious however.

    Your DD could end up with a cold but not necessarily bronchitis.

    Bronchitis itself is not, but the illness that lead to it can be.
