    Good Luck krod!

Update: Well, we're currently in a slight holding pattern.  I had my SHG on the 6th and everything looked good.  I had my bone density scan on the 12th and again, everything looked good.  Although my RE said we could start our donor search, the DE coordinator has not yet given us the green light.  My medical records from my Ob/Gyn were just sent yesterday and they are being reviewed now.  I should know by the end of the week.  I'm nervous that they are not going to let us proceed due to an abnormal pap I had back in November so if that's the case, I'm not sure what we'll do.  I was hoping to cycle by March, but that might not be a possibility anymore.

QOTD: I have a ton of hobbies - crafts, skiing, golfing, watching my hometown sports teams (GO PATS!), zumba, hanging with my friends, going to concerts - the list could go on and on.  As for collections, the biggest one I have (and what I'm most known for) is my Mickey Mouse memorabilia.  I have A LOT.  DH has tried to contain it to one room in our house, but it's impossible - it's everywhere.  And for the record - it's Mickey Mouse memorabilia, NOT Minnie Mouse or Pooh or Disney Princesses - just Mickey.  Wink

    Hi everyone!!

I have an appt with my RE on 1/27 to get my schedule!!!  I have only done fresh IVF cycles with my OE.  I have never done a FET so I am not sure what "prep" needs to be done before we can transfer.  I am still hoping we can do the transfer by the end of Feb but depending on the protocol he puts me on, I may not be able to transfer until March.  I am ready to just get things moving!!!

I enjoy golfing and hanging out with DH and friends.  I lead a VERY boring life.

I am AMA and all tests on H came back normal
3 failed IVF with OE and 2 failed frozen DE cycles
Last fresh hail mary DE cycle starting Feb 2013
    PAIF/SAIF always welcome

Update: not much to report except a day of feeling crappy yesterday, just as I hit 8 weeks.  The glow of seeing the heartbeat last week has worn off a little--now I'm just anxious to still see it at the end of next week!

QOTW:  I'm a potter in my non-existent spare time -- or rather, I was a potter for 11 years, but have let it go for the last 6 for lack of time.  Hoping to get back to it, but not sure that during pregnancy is the time to start.  I collect velvet scarves and fancy tea-cups, among other things.  DH and I have started a small art collection--we plan to buy one thing per year for our anniversary at a big art festival in our town.

Hi all! Congrats to all the new BFPs and good luck to everyone cycling.

Shy - hope to see you on the multiples board soon - I'm so happy for you!

Update: Sorry I haven't been around much. Both girls had ear infections the last half of December that required multiple antibiotics.  Two sick babies is LOTS of work. I also went back to work last week.  I'm so sad to leave the girls but feel very fortunate that we seemed to have found a great nanny.

QOTW: Not so much on collections or traditional hobbies. I love to cook and I'm a big reader.  I had book club at my house when the girls were 4 weeks old - don't like to miss that.

Congrats to all the BFPs and births!

update: I haven't been around much. We did a FET in November and got a BFP... so we are expecting #2 in early August. I am feeling awful. I have the worst morning sickness that lasts all day... much harder to handle with a toddler and a full-time job!

My last appt with RE is tomorrow and then off to the OB on Thursday!

I used to make jewelry in my free time.... but haven't done a thing in over two years! I still have crates of stones and pearls in my attic waiting for the day I can begin again....

3 yrs ttc, 3ivfs, 4 iuis and finally a baby boy! And then a girl to follow. 2 under 2!

Status Update: Where are you currently with the DE/DEmbryo/

    GC process?

Sorry I have been MIA for a long while.  I did my IVF cycle with my OE and got a BFN.  No frosties.  Was told by my new RE that they did not think egg quality was my issue and that I do not need to pursue DE.  I was told to try on my own for a while and see what happens, which thoroughly confused me.  I went back to my old RE who agreed that egg quality may not be the issue, but neither could give me an answer about what the issue is.  Right now, I have been in a holding pattern since I do not have any doctor able to tell me what I should do next.  I am considering cycling with my OE, but using a GC, maybe my sister.  Not sure what is next and I am sad, frustrated, and confused.  Sorry to be such a downer.

QOTW: Do you have any hobbies or collections?

I like running.  I don't run any long distances or anything, but running makes me feel really good!

After 1 IUI, 3 IVF's with CGH/CCS testing, 10 early miscarriages, and lots of tears and frustration, we are moving on to Domestic Infant Adoption!  We are so excited to see what the future holds.

    Congrats and/or hugs to everyone!

Status Update: Where are you currently with the DE/DEmbryo/

GC process? Got all our testing done last week, and all is clear.  Since I was already at the RE  for my SHG on Thursday and had taken a personal day, I asked if I could start pre-screening donors (I knew my DH wouldn't have the patience to thoroughly search through all 11), and they said yes.  I found a front-runner, and DH and I went back yesterday to confirm my choice. I was very excited as I NEVER thought here in Pittsburgh there would be a donor with any sort of Middle Eastern heritage (I'm 100%), but she is 1/4 Syrian!  She also has a great health history as does her family. The RE's office contacted the donor today, and she is on board so I will start BCP at the beginning of my next cycle in two weeks, and we will be cycling in March.  I had one small setback with a meltdown on Saturday, but I'm back to being positive now.

QOTW: Do you have any hobbies or collections?  I collect decorative thimbles - both cheap ones from places I've visited and fancy ones that I've found.  I saw an ad on tv for this when I was 14, and my geeky self thought it sounded like a neat thing to do.  That same year I found two animal head thimbles in an antique store, and my collection was born.

Good luck to everyone who will be cycling soon!

Update on me. I just had ET yesterday. We transferred two beautiful blasts and one blast that we could have frozen but it had less than a 1% chance so we decided to transfer it as well. My dr was very conservative with our donor (she had over 50 follicles) and she triggered her at a lower dosage (so she wouldn't hyperstim) so we only got 15 eggs which basically ended up being only the 3 blasts we transferred with nothing left to freeze. It has been a bit disappointing for us because we have been through so much and the thought of this not working and starting again would be too much for us. Fingers crossed this is the end of our journey.

Beta is scheduled for next Tuesday 1/23 so I hope to have some good news!

Update: Not a whole lot to report.  Baby M was on a nursing strike (so we were feeding her breastmilk in a bottle), but she seems to be back to breastfeeding now which is a relief.  She's a happy and healthy girl.

QOTW: I like swimming and watching movies.  (Also, I didn't have a chance to respond to last week's question, but our donor is anonymous.  We did have quite a bit of information about her background as well as baby and early childhood pictures.  That was enough for me.  I preferred this route.)

What a nice surprise to find this group! I've been on The Bump for 5 or do years. Mostly a lurker but sometimes posting.

My husband and I do have a daughter from our first fresh IVF but unfortunately everything weve done since then to grow our family has been unsuccessful. DE is our next step. We just met yesterday with our RE and the donor egg/embryo nurse coordinator. We came home with a folder full of profiles to look at and choose our donor. It's completely overwhelming! We plan to cycle in April/May.

Looking forward to being part of this group! Thank you :-)

    Wife for 6 years. Mommy to Reese, 3, after IVF. IUI #1 5/07 = BFN. IVF #1 7/07 = BFP (Reese :-)) FET #1 7/10 = BFN. FET #2 4/11 = BFN. IUI #2 9/11 = BFN. IUI #3 (with donor sperm) 11/11 = BFN.
