Nursery Furniture Score! Multiple PIPs

So - let me start off by saying that my parents are absolute SAINTS!!!!! They have done so much for DH and I over the past 3.5 years of our marriage!  They bought us our crib - the Sorelle Verona Crib - absolutely beautiful in a dark espresso finish.  Let me say - it looks GORGEOUS up next to the Denim Blue pain that we put in Little man's room.

Of course we were stoked about the Crib - and then they told us that they would also be supplying us with a matching dresser.  When we were at BuyBuyBaby - my parents checked out the Sorelle Verona Dresser - which was very very pretty - but the drawers were not well made and were kind of rickety -- My parents refused to pay $500 for a dresser that would not hold up.  They are big when it comes to Quality for a little extra cost - which I can't blame them.

We live in Central KY - and took a trip to Ohio yesterday (1.5 hour drive) to go to the Amish Country and see some furniture from a workshop there in one of the Amish Communities.  We found the dresser/changer combo that my parents purchased for us!

image  This finish looks MUCH darker than it really is -- it actually matches the crib perfectly.  It has a little storage drawer on the bottom right - and I love the way it's not just a BOX like all dressers are.  I thought a cute lamp would be cute on the higher platform.  This thing is amazing -- 100% solid wood and 100% hand made by the Amish.  This thing will last for YEARS!!!!  And we got a good deal - original price was $1100 and we got it on sale for only $650!!!!

Then -- when I thought my shopping endevor was over -- My parents bought us this....

image A handmade solid wood High Chair!! Absolutely love how adorable it is!!!!  I need to find a soft pad or something so little man's booty won't be sore and slipping and sliding all over - but this is such a better deal than the plastic ones that you find in the big box stores!!!!!!

I think it's clear to say that my parents are going to spoil this little guy rotten!!! (probably more than they spoil me and DH!)
