dinner ideas - chicken sausage?

DH bought some chicken and apple sausages from Costco on Saturday, and has requested them for dinner this week. What could I throw in the crock pot with them? Sweet potatoes? Anyone tried something like this before?  TIA!

 

Oh - last night I roasted some parsnips for the first time and they were DELICIOUS. As in, I think we're going to be eating them very frequently. If you've never tried them, give them a shot!

    I like to just saute them with peppers and onions.

    Oooh I love those. I just saute them in olive oil and then serve them with rice and a veggie. Not sure what I'd put them in the crock pot with. Maybe all sorts of veggies, like celery, new potatoes, etc, like you'd put in a stew.

    They are precooked right? just heat and serve? If so, we love bow tie pasta with parmarosa sauce (knorr) and goat cheese crumbled on top.

    I cook the pasta and in the last 2 minutes put sliced sausages  in with it to heat up. prep the sauce packet.

    drain pasta and sausage, stir in sauce, place in oven dish sprinkle with goat cheese and put in the oven for about 15-20 minutes (350)
