Baby Carter... Born in under 2 hours!

Okay I know that I am alittle late but better late then never right?!

My baby boy wasnt due until May 8th 2011 which happened to be Mothers day! On April 14th 2011 around 7am I woke up to get ready to head to work and I noticed that I had either peed my pants or my water broke but wasnt sure which one because all you mommas out there know its very easy to pee your pants when you are VERY pregnant As I started getting ready for work I started having what I thought where Braxton hicks I got them almost every day towards the end. With Braxton hicks normally then go away if you change your position.. well these didnt but they where not bad at all.. I could barley feel them! I decided to call my Dr. anyways and she told me to head to L&D to be checked out. We left the house and thought it was a false alarm so we didnt grab our bags or diaper bag We decided to stop and grab something to eat on our way into the hospital.. by the time we got there the contractions where alittle worse but not awful. When I got there it was about 9am and I got checked and the Dr said I was only at 1cm and my water hadnt broke and said most likely I would be going home. They monitored my contractions for a few minutes and my Dr wanted me to get up and walk the halls. He told me if I dialated more we where staying and having the baby.. we walked for a hour and he came back and checked me and in a hour I went from a 1cm to a 6cm! PAINFUL!!!!!!! I let them know I wanted the Epi IMMD!! I got my Epi. and I didnt really have a chance to enjoy the pain free part once you get it.. after it was given to me they checked me 15 mins later to make sure it was working and make sure I couldnt feel anything.. I let them know I felt a ton of pressure and they checked me again and i was 10cm and 100%! So I went from a 1 to a 10 in about 1 1/2 hours! They started running around like crazy setting everything up and calling the Drs in and they where throwing their blue scrubs on! Once everything was set up I started pushing... Im not sure how many times I actually pushed but time-wise.. I think it was 15-20 minutes! He flew out of there haha.. the nurses told my husband that next time we need to get to the hospital sooner! We would have been there sooner if we had known Everyone was so surprised how fast my labor went since it was my first born! I had him in under 2 hours... My recovery was amazing I was never sore or in pain afterwards and no rips or anything.. Here we are 9 months later with a beautiful healthy baby boy and I couldnt be anymore happy and in love... hes just so perfect and amazing!
